THE Best Birthday Weekend Ever

I half-joked that 29 was the last birthday I would celebrate. But after the epic weekend I had, I'm pretty sure it will never be beat.

Y'all. I seriously had the best birthday weekend imaginable. Here are just a few highlights...

Our good friend from Denver came in town to spend the weekend with us. We went out with him Friday night and had a blast.

Saturday, I went to my parents' house, and mom had the cutest birthday packages for me and my favorite apricot nectar cake.

Later that night, we went to dinner with my parents to celebrate before hitting up a wine bar with a couple of friends. Honestly, that already made for a wonderful birthday, and I went to bed a happy girl.

Well, Sunday, I went to Marcia's baby shower in the afternoon, and I left the husband at home to get ready to "have a few people over for the Super Bowl" (Sidenote: When I left the house, all he had purchased was a ton of beer and rotel. I definitely wasn't expecting a full-blown party. I figured a few guys were coming over to watch the game.). Well, Marcia had picked me up to take me to the shower, and when she brought me home, I walked into a surprise birthday party with all my favorite people!

Husband had sent out the cutest invitations...

And decorated the house...

It was so, so sweet. I was a bit overwhelmed. And turns out my super cute preggers BFF Marcia was in on the whole surprise.

All my favorite girls came!

Well, I was texting the COT, aka "Circle of Trust" (my three besties who don't live in Memphis) and telling them I wish they could have been here. And as I was sending them a picture from the party, the husband even admitted he tried to get them all in town, but that it just didn't work out. Well, about 5 minutes later, I turned around and all three of them walked into my kitchen. Tears started flowing.

I love these ladies so, so much. You have no idea. My heart just about exploded. I think I'm still in shock that they're all at my house (sleeping like babies). Kali drove in from Missouri, Rachael drove in from Frankfort, KY, and Mama flew all the way from Minneapolis on standby to get to Memphis Sunday afternoon. I mean, really? I think we're going to start a new tradition and have a reunion for each of our birthdays. UPDATE: We already booked flights to MSP in June for Mama/Rachael's joint birthday weekend! :) Can't wait!

For one night, I had all of my favorite people under one roof--friends from near and far, my step-brother and step-sister and their families, my parents... It was awesome. A birthday I'll never forget.

(Since he actually reads my blog now that it shows up in his Google feed) J.R.-- Thank you for the best birthday ever. Thank you for loving me and spoiling me and for all your patience and tolerance. Thank you for always being thoughtful and kind and going above and beyond every day in everything you do. I love you with all my heart. I hope this year is the best year for us yet!

What is your hubby's first name if you don't mind me asking?

I was excited to see on instagram. Your hubby did good, you have some awesome friends! I would be happy to have something like that.
