Friday:
6 miles in 52:49 with Libby
Really wasn't feeling this run. Still kept a great pace and felt amazing after.
Saturday:
10 miles in 1:40:57
Paced a 10-11 min/mile training group. We were right on pace, and they did a great job. One of the ladies I was pacing actually ran her fastest 10 miles she has ever run!
Sunday:
So, I can't believe I'm admitting this to the interwebs, but before Sunday, I had never been on a track. Well, I take that back. I think I had to run a mile once in high school on a track, but that was eons ago. So no, since I started running, I hadn't run on a track. Gasp.
One time I tried to go to a local track but got kicked off, so I never tried again. When my dad mentioned he was going walking on Sunday morning at another local track, I decided to tag along. I figured if we got in trouble, I could either pretend to be a high school student there since I look 16 or blame it on my dad.

I've been doing speed work for a while now, but usually I just take my trusted Garmin and do 400s or 800s or even mile repeats on a local paved trail that's straight and flat. Or I hit the old dreadmill and push the pace until I'm about to fly off the back. It was nice to actually do speed work on the track. I think I'll be sneaking over there more often now!
Where do you do your speedwork?

That's my old house behind you in the picture from your Saturday run!
School tracks should be public property (if they are public schools). There are obviously some times you are not allowed to be there, but ours have posted times that are fine.
I'm loving the workout recaps (I can use all the motivation I can get!)
Mine is done on the treadmill. It's just easier.
