So, I'm trying something new with the New Year. I'm planning meals for the week. Yes, that sounds super OCD and like an old lady, but I'm tired of going to the grocery, buying random things, and then sometimes having to throw things out that don't get used.
So, here's this week:
Tuesday: Chicken Chili
Wednesday: French Fried Tilapia (so easy and delicious!) and Crustless Broccoli and Onion Quiche
Three ingredients? Yes, please!
Thursday: Crock Pot Italian Chicken and Potatoes
Friday: Shrimp and Grits (new recipe from Kerri!). I'll post the recipe after I try it!
Saturday: Spaghetti with Ground Turkey
Sunday: Out to eat to watch football with friends
Monday: Bachelor watch party--I'm making several appetizers that I'll share
Tuesday: Light Chicken Cordon Bleu
We'll see how long this lasts! How many of you plan your meals?

Yes, I plan weekly and post them on my blog every Sunday. Feel free to check them out - taylors-east.com
I don't plan my meals, but I'm going to start. I just have to find a few more recipes that I like!
I try to meal plan every week. First of all, it saves arguments because every time I ask Ken what he wants for dinner, I get "I don't care". Second, I can prep things ahead if I need to (thaw meat, set up my crock pot, etc). And last but not least, I spend much less at the grocery store and very little is wasted!
I plan mine & it works perfectly. Rarely do we throw things out or go over our budget at the grocery store. I also use a nifty little grocery list organizer that divides your list into sections of the grocery store. So easy!!
I try to plan my meals as much as possible. It really helps with budgeting when we go grocery shopping, and makes you think about what is happening that week, so if you can't cook one night to make you have leftovers available.
I can't wait to try that tilapia! It sounds great!
OMI YUM. You totally had me at Light Chicken Cordon Bleu. You look fantastic BTW in your New Year's post!
You're not OCD or an old lady. You're a busy, modern woman who has better things to do than figure out dinner every night! :)
I plan all my meals for the week. One shopping trip, everything's done.
Although, I do think you should go the extra step and post them on the blog to make my life easier. ;-)
I plan!! So much cheaper and less stressful.
I don't think menu planning is OCD....I have a white board in my kitchen with the 7 days of the week and their corresponding dinner....it's really helped me use the groceries i buy and not let anything go to waste.
That quiche looks amazing!
I just happened to come across your blog-- the tilapia looks so good:)
